idle control valve

or idle stepper motor can anyone please refresh my memory and remind me whats supposed to happen when testing it, engine warm valve removed and turn on ignition, but I cant remember what happens next, does it move out or in and how much/Hmmm .


ps I know Im not a member anymore/pan just too busy just now plus Im rarely in the country, but any help would be much appreciated/thankyou

cant remeber how they operate, but if yours is knackered the FTO ones are the same (i think)

pull it out and test resistance betweern the pins (there 6 of them) the outer 4 are the + and the inner two are neg. so on the to row test one outer one to neg pin, then the other outer one to neg pin. do the same to the bottom row. should be about 0.3 i think but ill look on thursay when back at work
