Anyone know what the tyre pressure should be all round on a 2003 V6-24v Elegance please...?

I checked the owners manual :book: and /woot - the tyre size and pressures stated are still for, I'm guessing, the non-facelift Galants as they state 195/60 R15 and 205 60R 15.

My standard alloys are the 'sport' rims with tyres of 215 / 45 ZR17 - as in the photo below.

I've searched the archive on here and there are just postings for people who've upgraded their alloys to aftermarket 18s"

Thank you in advance for your help!

There are posts regarding pressure normally around 30 ish to 36 PSI I think its down to personal preference

Aye - I used to run my sport with pressures at around 34 psi. I'm not sure I ever remember seeing any official pressure ratings? But the side wall being a bit shallow, I thought just over pressure was probably better for the tyre surviving Brums pot-holes!

My V6-24 runs on 17"s, although with 205/45/17 tyres. I run around 30-32 psi.

Tyre wear has been completely even for the 30 months I have been running the car like this.

Hope that helps!

I have an ST-R which is a 4wd version of the same thing, so a little heavier than your car. I've found that 38/36 psi is the best for me with the same tyre size. There is definitely room for experimentation.

Mines just a 16v, but with the same wheels 'o cheese so it shouldn't make any difference, but there is an over sticker on the driver side door pillar (there is another sticker underneath that relates to 15" wheels) std load (up to 3 people) front 2.2bar, rear 2 bar... Full load 2.3 front and 2.1 rear

the same sticker is also on the inside cover of my service booklet.

2.2 bar = 32 psi
2.0 bar = 29 psi

2.3 bar = 33 psi
2.1 bar = 30 psi

I run mine at 34 psi front and 32 rear ..... it feels the best to me

Nope - it's staying just as is! Actually I'm low enough in this car compared to my 6th gen Galant which when compared to this was like riding in a 4x4 up high!

Will have a look for that sticker! Thanks for the tip off on that...

Put them on 35 and 30 at the rear yesterday and the ride was far better!

Found the sticker! states 33 for the front and 30 for the rears!

Must say I do like the feel on a 35 front and 33 rear though!
