As with most Scooby drivers he was mad :-D Ended up damaging his turbo in the end (hence he retired), to be honest I was more chuffed to beat the Skylines ;)

Certainly did well mate.

What type of 200 was it, the S13 (up to J reg) or an S14 J reg onwards?
You've gotta love 200SX's, superb under rated cars!!!!!

It's an R reg vehicle

It's an R reg vehicle

It can't possibly be a standard 200SX can it. I mean they only put out about 200bhp don't they?

197bhp as standard, I believe. But two wheel drive, so if it is manual as well it will lose much less to the wheels than Pete. (Or me, or you!) I guess it's lighter as well. It probably wouldn't be far off in standard form. But it would lose in the wet for sure and it can't carry the family and luggage as well!

Quite right Nick - was a dry track and a manual - and the guy knew how to handle it for sure :veryangry

And you obviously did as well! It's an impressive list of cars you have with longer times than you!

I got right into it mate and was very impressed how the car handled and had loads of people comment on how impressed they were - was the surprise of the day for most :-D

R reg will be the latest shape which is much heavier and bigger than the S13.

0-60 in the S13 is around 6 and half seconds and our VR-4's are around the late 5's to low 6's.. standard Vs standard.
The S14 is slightly slower than the S13 but does have more power, I believe it has a very slight higher top end.
S13 can do a quarter mile in around 16 seconds so you will find it quite hard to shake one! if it takes off before you.
As for handling! if you know the car well! you can make it do anything, you take it lightly and it'll kill you! :undecided I have one and managed to spin it coming off of a roundabout near me... much respect for the car now and will never trust it again, that said, if it had wider wheels and better/lower suspension it will be alot better.

Saw one on track at Japfest last year, and it was amazing to watch.

that great info for comapring the vr4 with the other cars, were the skylines standard and what were your boost settings?

The GTS is standard but the GTR has a few upgrades like Nismo clutch etc but the guy admits he needs more track practice.

I was running at 1.0 bar - forgot to reset ecu too :$ - track was more of a driving circuit than speed (only reached 70 - 75 on the long straight) - so shows how well balanced the car is (maybe my lower springs helped too) to beat a Impreza WRX on a couple tracks, shame there was no Evo's there either
