what year is it? i have a copy of auto data here that should have most of that info in, i know the older 8V engines used the water pump as a tensioner, you need a feck off big spanner to adjust it, quick tip though, take the water pump out first and clean the faces up so it moves easier.

lol, yeh they are complete rubbish, even changing the rocker gasket on one is like an hour job, as it comes with loads of little o rings to put in aswell.

lol i was told by aguy at holden that one came in and went out with a $2000 bill after the rocker cover gasket leasked and put oil through the alternator, and the camseals leaked on the cambelt. less then a year later it was back in for exactly the same thing!

is this the way we hate vectras' thread /lol
the squeaky suspension we did on one, took it to a garage who wanted 1200 quid bill i think they worked it out as, for all new bushes in the back....
so we took the rear suspension arms of, bit of copperslip on them, and it was all good, just a dry joint.
saved the owner 1200......
although he then did turn up complaining that we put his front wheels on backwards(directionals) we swapped them over laughing, then he went "wait no, it was me that did it, i borrowed the breaker bar to do it, sorry " /lol
