Hi all,
Just taken my propshaft off my 1996 VR4 automatic to have the joints replaced and i need to know what oil i should be topping the transferbox back up with.
It smells and looks like ep80/90 but unsure... What is the correct oil?
Sorry just read the how to on change the transfer box oil, but what is SAE 90 (GL-5) is EP80/90 sufficent?

many thanks Jason

You've answered the bit I can tell you by yourself! :P

I can't answer your remaining question.

If itdoesn't say that it is GL-5 compatable I wouldn't put it in. You don't need much, so it isn't a very expensive thing to have to do.
