only took a few months ;)

It makes 227.9kw at 5332rpm, and 435.7nm at 4213rpm, both at the wheels. Makes about 210kw at 6500rpm too

Plugging those numbers into the dyno sheet that slimshady made after the UK dyno day, I've got 401.4hp (299.4kw), and somewhere around 550-570nm torque at the engine.

Also interesting to note, I make 0.5 bar by 2350rpm, 1 bar at 3000rpm, and thats about it! I thought he would have taken it higher, but the max boost is only 1.1 bar. It stays above 1 bar all the way from 3000rpm to 5200rpm, at 6500rpm it is still at about 0.9 bar.

Trying to take pics with the camera is useless, I'll put up some scans later on.

Blimey! 400 ponies at the wheels. How strict are your speed limits enforced again?

bradc

about 305.5hp at the wheels, 401.4hp approx from the dyno spreadsheet

I have confirmed those numbers with my ass dyno:P Youv gotta be happy with the torque figures too!

Now where did you put that quarter mile timeslip:thinking::sunny:

other interesting things:

A stock VR-4 is rated at 363nm at the engine, my car makes that AT THE WHEELS at 2700rpm all the way up to about 5700rpm

When my car was stock it made 154kw max at the wheels at around 5500rpm, it now makes that much power at about 3200rpm!

I'll take it to the drags eventually :)

You should be low 13s, maybe even high 12s with that power. It would be good to see the result!

depends on the launch and aggressiveness I guess

Nice curves Brad ... very impressive :afro:

What turbos have you got again?

I am impressed Brad - that's E39 BMW M5 territory :D A bit better in fact.

and half the capacity :) they only make 294hp and 500nm though

You mean 294kW ... /pan :)

brad, Just to be nosey, what boost target do you have set, and at what RPMs does it start to roll off?

Edit to add: Forgot to mention: Nice figures, I am jealous, you must be grinning lots: the magic 400.

bradc
23-02-2008, 09:45 PM
oh yeah, 294kw :)

Steve - no idea what it is set to, I'm not using a boost controller at all, I'm using the ECU to set the wastegate duty cycle. As you can see from the graph it holds about 1.1 bar from 3200rpm to about 4500rpm where it starts to drop down steadily

Apologies, brad....graphs didn't load last night. 4500rpms....hmm...I think I know what you're thinking about buying :D

Bigger blowers! Keep the boost higher in the rev range = more area under curve = much much faster.

Nice figs, whats the specs there dude, running aftermarket ecu? anything else? im looking at swaping out of my evo1 to a legnum.

autronic sm4 ecu, all piping changed, big intercooler, new fuel pump, still stock injectors and turbos. ohh and your evo 1 is one of the nicest I've seen!

400bhp on stock turbos and injectors is quite an achievement! Congratulations!

500nm.... That's about 406lbs/ft!!:speechles

bradc

I make it to be about 406lbs/ft as well :) It's a quick car.

The injectors are at 90% duty cycle though, I do need to get some Sard 530cc or evo 560cc ones

Thats great results.... gotta be pleased with that..

next step bigger better connecting rods & pistons?

yeah, going to build a new engine with forged internals and other nice things, and put some gt2554r's on it

Nice figures.

Interesting thing for me is to hear about the boost at 2500RPM and 3000RPM points as this is similar to what I was producing with the down pipes I have.

I'll have to take a look at the dyno graphs I have at home, but I think I was at about 10psi @ 2500RPM.

Down pipes rock :D

Good to have the official figures though, congrats :)

yeah, I don't think I'd be able to get them to spool much sooner. Don't need them to anyway :)

The only dyno I've got of your car is when Robin didn't connect the boost up correctly

I have an updated one with a boost controller at home. there are pics on the site somewhere, but the quality isn't great.

I don't think you could get them to spool much quicker either... unless you had some help with NO2 or such :)
