hi everyone

Just got a 97 VR4 type S, and am very impressed! px'ed a soarer for her - that was a nice car but just kept doing 360's on the dual carriage way!!

question about the MMCS. mine has the 4:3 unit installed. i have swapped out the cassette for an SD/CD mp3 unit but obviously have lost the input selector for the TV/video input in doing so.

Is there any way of selecting the input without the old cassette unit installed? I would like to add an NTSC rear parking camera or other video feed.

thanks in advance!

it would just be a matter of looking at the old wiring and figuring out what cables to what and connecting them up to a switch. No idea about how to do this though!

not sure it would be that easy. im pretty sure it is a 'soft' switch so it maybe that the old cassette unit needs to be dismantled and the circuits/switch utilised??

You'll have to excuse my ignorance but I've never seen the MMCS. Is this switch to control the input on the cassette??

yes it sure is. the mmcs is a double DIN size screen and the cassette player sits beneath with the selector controls.

How many wires connect the cassette player to the MMCS?
