Which one of you lot tried to mig the top seam back on? /lol its stainless it needs to be Tigged back on /lol

Splitters are back.....started putting the face lift wheels back on, going to refurb the BBS ones, gloss black with silver rim....To be fair to you Don i actually havnt found any more bad bits on the car other than the ones you have pointed out, went over it yesterday with a fine tooth comb :D :D :D :D

Yeah, that would be me - it wasn't the seam, it was just the stainless outer skin (the inner is mild). They were just tacks to keep the skin in place as I knew it was to be replaced eventually. Don't see why TIG would be needed. MIG with stainless wire should be sufficient?

Anyway, you got it for free, what are you moaning about :p

That was me as well as K. For your info you can mig stainless you can also mig ally if you have the right kit.

When you're ancient as me - you could gas weld it as well. All this modern "make it easy" kit/pan

true, but i go for the easiest option, drag ally or stainless gun out, switch gas bottles VS flick switch on the Tig welder /pan /pan

going to have to remove a fewboxes from the exhaust i think, i was told yesterday that the ralliart box sounds like my mates FTO but not as cowy /lol.....i hate the sound of the exhaust on the FTO, sounds like a cow

Not quite as LOUD as the exhaust we have now ;)

i cant hear it, to me it has made no audible difference, and now im being told it sounds like a quieter version of my mates FTO :( which will have to be sorted out.

im not to bothered about the sound inside the car its outside the car which everyone hears, i dont want it to sound nasty....also why i need a louder BOV /lol

My thoughts exactly.... it's quiet... thats why I liked it.

The one we have now is 100+ DB..... Very loud.

i dont care how the car sounds on the inside, i havent got a CD player in the car, and i have no real urge to put one in, the 6a13TT makes an orsum noise.
