A tutorial by Kieran on changing the ATF fluid (which is in the member's section) describes a two person process of running the engine and using a hose to drain the additional ATF fluid - the stuff which does not come out when you open the sump drain plug.

I wonder though, if you could put an oil pump (see link for an example) down the ATF dipstick hole and suck out all the ATF fluid out with that?

The reason for doing a flush is to change the ATF in the T/C, pipe work and cooler not removing from the sump.

The dipstick goes to the sump, so as Richy says, you'd still be left with old oil in the torque converter and radiator.

You can do it as a one man process, but it's a bit scary!

Ok, well what about sticking a pump down one of the sender pipes - the one you attach to drainage hose to as per the method described in the tutorial? Might this be safer than running the engine, especially if you have a turbo timer that does not manually shut off easily.
