For anyone interested in replacing the stock filter I just spoke to Sumo power (http://www.sumopower.com) to order a HKS one, the cost £21 + P&P that is a result. Don't ask me what the code is as he didn't tell me.

I'll drop it on here when it arrives......

Now plugs & leads........

Keep me posted on how you get on with the leads, i will be after some soon, even better if they are upgraded ones etc like magnecor or similar.

Mike from the change plug thread these (http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=m3b0s9p1293) are what K used I believe. These are what I'm going for with the plugs they list.

EDIT: Link amended to correct leads......./pan

Can't believe I've just stumbled on this thread, only half an hour ago I have just ordered some magnecor leads from Camskill!! Seems you need FTO GR non mivec.

Sorry for the show of ignorance, but i presume you have to buy two sets of these per single fitting? As only three are stated? Why would they state three per engine.

Damn its too easy to confuse me.

Doh!! They're cheaper than the ones I ordered/pan Think the only difference is the ones I ordered were the 8.5mm as opposed to these at 8.0mm. But if you ring them they do seem helpful.

You only need three. The front plugs are directly under the coil packs - no lead required

Mike

The 3 leads are for the rear cylinders as the coil packs sit above the front plugs so no leads required.......

Both sets of leads - Mivec, non Mivec are 8mm - how much were your Vee?

I ordered these one last year
http://www.sparkplugs.co.uk/pages/pricing/applications/magnecor-leads.asp

It does not take you directly to the page but fill in the details under mitsubishi (import) and they list the VR4.£60.50 delivered for the 8.5mm KV85 ones (red leads)

Kiearn dosn't use those leads now. He changed them to the leads RHD supply but I've used magnecor leads in 3 cars now and have always been happy with them (KV85 only). I don't like the electrosport ones though as they seem to short or breakdown too easily in damp conditions.

Arse..... missed those /pan to late ordered them 20 mins ago.

The 8mm leads will be ok though I presume, I don't mind blue ones....

I've got them on my MX5 as well. Thanks for the info guys.

The actual Magnecor part numbers for the VR4 are 60116 for 8mm and 65116 for the 8.5mm..... the Camskill ones are 06109 and 65109 respectively...... I wonder if the last 3 numbers are the length as Keiran mentioned they were a tad short:thinking: .

Interesting - Camskill told me the VR4 aint listed, yet the site shown by Peter does indeed list the VR4. Ah well if they're a tad shorter I can live with that as they won't fit in the original Mitsi cable clips anyway.

Pete Clicky (http://www.magnecor.co.uk/pdfs/magnecor_web08pdf_K-O.pdf) for Magnecor catalogue.......

Maybe worth a call to Camskill to list them as a stock item? - Committee types:thinking:
