My mum says she accidentally added about 100ml of water into the oil of her A160 W168 Benz. Do you guys know if a bit of water in the oil will cause any issues or will it just burn off and go out the exhaust, causing no damage?

I would imagine it would turn into steam and disappear fairly quickly

Yeah that is what I thought. I guess it might muck up the oil a bit - turn it milky maybe, but fortunately it is booked in for an oil change on Monday anyway.

It will have the same effect as putting water in a frying pan of oil.
This will degrade the oil in there. I'd avoid driving it for any distance until the oil has been changed.

The water will degrade the oil, so the oil then will not be able to protect as it should. I'd get it out of there asap.
Cheers,
Ben.
