Is it just me, or do signatures no longer appear on recent posts? I see them OK on posts older than about a week.

Edited to say: I can see my signature on this post! But not on my post here (#256) (http://www.clubvr4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=26657&page=13) unless open it up in a separate window :inquisiti

That's a feature of the forums - Signatures only display once per page - On that thread you've linked to, your post #245 has the sig - so the one at #256 doesn't - unless you open it in a new window (because then it's the 1st time the sig appears in that page, if you see what I mean).:scholar:

No worries :) It was something Barry implemented originally -I think the rationale at the time was to save bandwith and to make the forums easier to read (threads not constantly being broken up by Huuuuuuuge sigs).

If you go back to the thread afterwards it has disappeared from all but the first post you make in the thread.
It only shows two sigs when displaying a post you have just made.

Yes, I get that too - BUT only if I use Quick reply... Which makes sense. Quick reply is kind of like write behind caching - That is to say, it appears on screen and THEN the forum engine adds the post to the club database and timestamps it.

A 'Normal' reply goes into the database first and then is displayed - so the forum engine is able to 'count' if a user has posted and then display the sig or not.

Kyle - If you press CTRL+F5 to refresh a problem thread (or just visit another one and then come back to the first), I imagine the problem disappears?

yeh, it does, but im hardly using quick reply for them now, its not a problem really
