As per this thread http://www.clubvr4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=30127

I've ordered 8, and I'm getting one for the ST-R, so that means there are 7 left. They are $100 each unless you live in Auckland, then they'll be $95

They are a little bit cheaper than if you bought them normally through him. They were ordered on the 13th so they will be turning up middle of April hopefully. So you've got plenty of time to get the money to me :) Just pm me and I'll give you my bank account details, and let me know when you've put the money in.

So far we've got:

Paid:
Robotnik
Candee ------ these three guys are all getting theirs when Robotnik comes to Aucks to deliver the oil
VR4 MAD

Confirmed but not paid:
dka113 --------- can you confirm by the 20th please! If not I'll sell it to the next person who comes along.

Sent, Received, all happy

bbunnys
Myself
Kenneth

If anyone wants to pull out, don't worry about it too much, I'm sure I'll be able to sell your one to someone else :)

A 10hp power increase and a cooler sounding induction noise as the car's engine takes in air. Also these filters can be cleaned and reused, which is an advantage in the longer term: From Supercheap Autos a FRAM paper filter for the VR-4 costs $39 and needs to be replaced about every 20,000kms, so it won't take that long for the Ralliart filter to pay for itself.

Dunno, but the guys on OZVR4.com seem to like it. You could ask there.

bradc

no idea, but it is a ralliart product, so it isn't likely to kill anything in a week!

What sort of power gains are people expecting out of theses

bradc
01-04-2008, 11:04 PM
probably 5hp or so! I expect it will give my ST-R a bigger increase than a VR-4

On monday, and obviously Robotnick is coming up for the weekend anyway, so we'll meet up then.

As for Kenneth and DKA113, when will you fella's be able to pay?

Ohh and there is one spare, so first person to get their money in wins :) Remember these are about $120 or something normally, so you're saving some money here.

Not sure I have noticed any difference yet. However the Paper filter was dirty.

Still better airflow in and out now will make it run better.

The ralliart panel filter is unlikely to make any noticeable difference. It would be interesting to test it at the next dyno day actually.

If it does flow more freely you should see a bit of an increase in your fuel economy.

Does it make extra induction noise at all??

I wouldn't expect it to make much difference there either. Never know though, it might make a bit more noise.

If it does flow more freely you should see a bit of an increase in your fuel economy.Which will not be a bad thing, considering prices now :D

I re-tanked up straight after I put it in, so I will see how it goes.

My ST-R is a little bit louder with it, as for the power output, well when I last drove it the car was running on 91 and had the stock filter. Now it has 95 in it and the Ralliart filter and it is a little rocket ship

22-04-2008, 12:51 AM
I found since ive put mine it power is same but my exhaust seems like it doesnt drone as much as it used to. Around 2000rpm it was very loud and my ears didnt like it but now seems not is bad. Could this happend or am just dreaming it. Cause I dont see how it could effect the exhaust like that.

so was the ralliart filter a good buy, performance wise it seem good or is it better in the long run?. ie dont have to change @ 20,000km or so

it is washable so you can use it forever

If someone has one extra filter left, I'd like to buy. As I understood, this would be a little bit cheaper than from RHDJapan, and it's 80-90 euros shipped to Finland.

PM me!

What's the situation with this? My stock filter needs changing soon and I'm wondering do I have to order the ralliart filter from rhdjapan and pay almost 100 euros :/

I wonder if Candee or VR4 Mad have noticed any difference in their cars? I'll put my filter in this weekend. Am not expecting much, considering I already have a fairly new FRAM filter in there and last time I checked it was pretty clean.

Question, do you guys living in northern cities and towns like the Hutt, Wainuiomata and Porirua consider yourself Wellingtonians, or not really? I guess if you live in the Hutt say, you might not have any particular reason ever to go to Wellington City.
