Confirmed yesterday, Vince (my partner, for those that don't know) will be coming to visit me for nearly 3 months. /Welcome2 /HappyBD /bounce :sweethear :iloveyou: /Poms :smitten:

However.... He arrives next thursday morning. :speechles :anxious:

So, what have I got to do by then....

Repaint sections of walls in house where needed
Clean out inside of car
Wash car
Sort out study so it's possible to walk into and be in there (entire room was full of stuff)
Clear living room
Clear Kitchen (Ask wildcards, g6acb or richy rich about this... they will confirm this is not a small undertaking)
Reinstall OS/apps on laptop
Set up network in study and get desktop machine up and running again
Reconfigure network with squeezebox as wireless bridge to server

Lots more things I keep finding that need doing as I go through this.

Anyone got a spare Tardis I can sweep stuff into?/help

Mike (Miller), its lucky you can spell!!!

Isaac, whats the point in tidying up if thats how you normally live? In 3 months time, he will know how untidy you are

They also say that love is blind.....

Tar - he already knows, and he is worse than I am. With that being the case, if I don't do this now, in 3 months the place would be uninhabitable...

Well, I've managed to do the car inside and out (no, not to kieran standard), and I've made serious progress in the kitchen, as well as having done the ironing and the network reconfiguration. So far 4 rubbish bags full gone out to the outside bin, I expect another 3 tomorrow...

One upside of this is that I cleaned out my manky toolbox (ie made it no longer manky) that was storing a few old bike bits, and I'm now actually using it, rather novel this, as a toolbox. The concept of being able to find my tools is not one I can really get my head around.

Dave - that was the kitchen, which is now unrecogniseable.

Pretty much got everywhere cleaned up except the study, which is better than it was, but still bad.

As I was doing things I kept finding new things to do - bannister was wobbling and loose, so sorted that out, put pegs up, fitted magnetic catches to cupboard doors, etc, etc, etc.

I'll get the last few things I can tidied up now and that will have to do... 12 hours until landing.

Not relax quite yet, still getting those last few things tidied up... Just cooking my supper now, then have to wash up what I use for supper, mop kitchen floor and put some laundry away and will be done for now.
