Looks excellent! Those RHD->LHD conversions on Legnums are getting pretty much a 'regular' thing over there in Poland! May I ask you what such a conversion would cost over there? (In Holland it is far too expensive and really only can be done as a do-it-yourself project).

Welcome to club, roch_27 ;)

Good luck with conversion - I've survived one and now enjoy my LHD Legnum VR-4 :)

2 MarkSanne: My conversion costed me $5500 in Moscow including second hand parts for conversion.

@Grizzly: US dollar? (At current dollar rate it would be around 3300 euro, not a bad price at all!)

May I ask you what such a conversion would cost over there? It cost about 3400 euro - including spare car (Galant '99 GDI)

Thanx roch_27. Good price. Somewhat jealous now (I think that I would prefer to have my Legnum LHD too, but I don't know how RHD will work out, so gonna try it out first as it is no problem in Holland as far as our laws are concerned).

Yep - $US. It's been a year ago, thus a bit more expensive in euro, but still a good price as it included all the parts needed.

Oh, boy! It's one hell of a freebie!!! I'm glad for you, buddy!

Swinks, could you advise me and Roch on benefits of membership in CVR4, please. I'd gladly do so, but frankly, though I'll be more than glad to join you on meetings and so on, I don't think I'll be able to come to UK or NZ quite soon.

What other benefits CVR4 membership has for us - those who live far away?

I'm not playing smartass - just trying to understand. :)

If yours is a Legnum then the CD Autochanger is in the boot on the passenger side. It normally sits in the cubby hole with the twist-lock door (not the ones in the boot floor - There is an MMCS unit under there with a single slotloader CD, that's the Navigation unit).

The MMCS was a modular system, which is to say that the Base Models had just an MMCS with Radio and Satnav (And didn't come equipped with the TV or CD units), however every VR-4 I've seen has had an autochanger.

It's also possible that someone on the boat went 'shopping' as so often happens. If you have no unit in there, check (you'll need to shine a torch probably) for the cable. If that's there then you'll need a MMCS compatible CD changer.... I can't remember the sodding model number (I've got one somewhere) but they appear on fleabay every so often.

If there's no cable then you'll need that too and you're into retrofit territory.

I think that's antenna, Mark.../lol Don't know why, but almost all cars from Poland I see around, got the longest antennas in the world. They must have a good connections to someone somehow.../yes

Maybe Roch_27 can explain why...:book:

I'll bet that he's got a 2,5 meters long antenna inside this car, just waiting to get on this... wiper motor thing.../yes

this is antenna for CB-radio /lol

As you mentioned large group of cars (lorry, sport cars, vans..and so on) has got additional antennas - most of them are really long, because good signal is needed.
In Poland CB-radio is very popular and sometimes very helpful You can ask about: traffic queue, where are the Police (with radar) or how to get somewhere (adress, street) if you don't know the City or don't have navi

So since now you will known what for we have additional antennas
