View Full Version : Body kits for the Legnum.......

I'm toying with the idea of putting a bodykit - sideskirts, rear bumper on my leggy.

I've got several areas on the car that need touching up due to the previous Japanese owner ****ting various bits on the skirts and front bumper. So while it's in for paint it's the perfect time to paint a body kit.

I can't seem to find any links anywhere for any, I like the Dolphin one on Pete Thompson's car (sorry Pete) but can't find a link to anyone selling it.

Help and links to any would be appreciated.

TIA

I couldn't find one when I tried to find a replacement and the cost for delivery alone was in the region of 300 400 for just the bumper.Link here

There used to be one if I remember correctly, although I imagine it's a little out of date now.

Thanks Pete

I'll have a look at them all.......... did you pay the 300 quid?:speechles

Would the kits for the 99-03's fit a pre facelift do you think? I only probably want the sideskirts and rear lip....... I like the Cyber ones.

RHD quoted the 300 to 400 but Newera only wanted around £40 . Miguel quoted for a facelift bumper on Yahoo Japan but didn't bother to find out the cost of the dolphin one I wanted even after many emails. That was a bit disappointing considering there rep. In the end I bought a new prefacelift at a good price.

Is there a great difference to the facelift rear bumper do you know? the Cyper lower rear lip looks like it may be what I'm after, the sideskirts aren't to shabby either.......

Just that they are quoting 99-03, as no-one seems to make a leggy rear bumper it has to be the lip /pan then I will need to lower it...... this could get expensive.........

I'm not sure as I was only looking for the front bumper but I'm sure somebody else will know

The facelift leggy has a different contour to the prefacelift on the rear bumper. Be careful buying stuff for the 99-03 as it could be facelift if JDM spec. Also be careful if buying parts that are USDM, as they will not be a good fit in some areas too.

Thanks guys..... this is now starting to get complicated. Perhaps just paint the scrapes and leave as is....... sounding good to me. I will speak to a few of the suppliers.

Yeah the rear bumper is different, and it is also different between galants and legnums! Be careful with the rears!

I was looking at the lower lip spoiler, is the lower contours different between facelifts/galants?

I Know the US ones have the exhaust exit on the opposite side /pan

How hard is it to mould a galant rear bumper to a leggy?

i would imagine quite hard, not sure why you would want to either?
i want the bottom section of a facelift rear bumper with the vents that i could mold onto mine. ideally i want the SVR4 kit

Pete - where did you get it from and what was the price?

I would like to replace my front bumper (and possibly the rear) at some point ... probably post wedding. I was going to get a quote from Camskill but I have not got around to sorting out the part numbers yet.

Sorry to difetrack this slightly but I think it's relevant, has anyone ever seen a facelift in Finesse Green? I like the facelift front but I can't recall ever seeing it in my colour.

I also need to replace my rear bumper but aftermarket Legnum bumpers seem quite difficult to come by unless you go extreme!

there was a dark green colour made for facelifts, it was an olive type colour. Only seen one and it was an NZ new car, haven't seen any JDM's in it.
