You will struggle to find a VR4 in the UK for that money. You would be better getting one from Japan direct. I guess the shipping costs would be similar, but the car will be a lot cheaper to start with.

If you look at www.autotrader.co.uk you will be able to search and find the prices we are paying in the UK.

i have found trademe.co.nz, and they seem to have some good deals. found a legnum for 800 usd, seemed to be in pretty good shape, and ive been thinking alot about it, and i think i will go with the triptonic, instead of the manual, im not totally sure yet, tho.

anyone know about trade me??? pros and cons??

Trademe is a NZ site, so it may be better to start a thread in the NZ chat area to ask about it? I guess quite a few from NZ don't look at the UK classifieds.

800 us$ for a legnum ! are u sure? is it a legnum VR4?
i think "start bid" or "current bid" cannot reflect the actual buy price
u've got to wait till the very last moment then u 'd know the actual price

It usually costs about £1000 ($2000) or more to ship a car from the states to the UK, so guessing it would be similar the other way..

Why not just buy the engine/transmission & loom from a NZ or Japanese wreckers where they're more common, it'll save a you $$$$ on shipping if you don't need the whole car..

well that was the plan, just to buy the engine, trans, loom, ecu, but now im finding out, i will prolly need much more then that, ill need all the driving parts, and i dunno if it would be cheaper seeing how i would have to buy up all the these parts, it will soon add up. and if i just pay one price for the car and shiping, then i will have everything i need right there in front of me

well how much in parts do u think i would be paying, plus shiping, for the complette motor, trans, ecu, loom, transfer box, drive shaft,suspension(rear/front), and if im missing something plz tell me, i cant member what else i would have needed, just a round about how much would all that cost me to get it paid for and shiped here do ya think. i belive it would add up to about the same to buy the whole car, btu i could be wrong.

you are looking for a manual transmission.....

manual trans parts are rare and are sought by many
i tend to think your chance in getting a complete set is almost zero

further, delivery of engine/trans together with other parts is very troublesome,
rough estimate of their weight should be 1000 pounds, packaging is difficult

most likely u need to buy a complete car with manual transmission

i do want the manual, but im also willing to settle with the auto.
