Will try to....what time will u get there and is it usual costs for entry and three track passes? Do we need our doors, boot and bonnet???? are they essential????...think of all that weight loss! :-D

Will be there about 9:30-10:00, it works on an entry fee and a track pass hich gives as many runs as you can fit in!

Doors, bonnet, and general body panels are optional, but you have to be able to refit them before joining the queens highway!!!! :p

I'm up for a bit of that Mr BDA !!! got to try out my new found power off the queens highway !!
Returned from Ikea yesterday, & had to behave all the way home :( as I had family in the car. only when I got very close to home, did I hit the loud pedal at around 20 mph. :D . changed down into 1st, & wayhey !!!!
:( :( :( wife hit me, daughter said she felt sick, & sister in law says she's gonna sue me for whip lash injuries !!! [ suppose I should have warned them ?? ]
shall I call round at 8.00AM ish, & ask, /in best child like voice/ " Is your David coming out to play ?" :$ :$ :-D :-D Dont think I could find the pod, after last years tour of Northamptonshire !!

err.... correction Nick !!!
BDA 13.999 secs.
me 14.015 secs.
beaten by 16 thousanths of a second !!!
I was nip & tuck all the day !!! first Dave set the VR4 club record @ 14.2, then I beat that with a 14.015 !!! & than Dave went back out, & hit a perfect launch to break the 14 sec barrier !!!
great runs all round. All I will say in defeat, is that my front brakes are binding slightly. And I had 5 seats in the car, didn't I Dave ??? :-D :-D :-D
I am over the moon with those times !! :cool1: :cool1:

Good work men.

VR4s officially in the 13's thanks to BDA.

Whats this about seats, and did you use the AP-22 Derek ?

SGHOM
29-02-2004, 08:08 PM
the seats ??? err....... :$ :$ Dave only had one !!! the rest were removed for ....err.... safety reasons !!!
As for the AP22 ?? I dont think its possible to use one at the pod. As you know, you must be completely staitionary to set it, & let it calibrate. stood at the staging light, you'll not have the time to do it .
On my quick run, I was along side a R34 skyline, who did a burnout !! he beat me, obviously, but only caught me in the last 100 yds !!

I suppose it must be difficult to get it all sorted on the line, but you must be very pleased with 14.0 with the car and the car in one piece.

Skyline at the lights anyone ?

Could have ignored the reaction time Derek I guess and started "at your leisure" so to speak to give you time to set the AP22

good point Pete. A delayed start was suggested by Dave, to ensure a perfect 2500 rpm launch !!
One more thing that has made me a happy bunny, Is that my car is a pre facelift model, with just 260 bhp to start from !!! :-D :-D
/edit/ have you ever seen a 20 stone man running round in circles & jumping up & down ??? Simon & I have !! :cool1: :cool1:
