Impressed or what :-D
The guy turned up within 30 minutes of my phone call
Jumped it straight away and she started which I knew she would
He tested the charge going to battery and all is fine
So it just looks like the battery can't hold a charge for too long without being started and given a run
Oh well will she how long the battery last this time and its another phone call
next time I will suggest a new battery be fitted the Breakdown man was from a Mits garage so they must have some spare surly

The one I ended up with has 620 cold cranking and 110 reserve whatever that means. Its slightly over the recommended spec, but the one with the right spec ( Bosch 7A) had the terminals the wrong way round.

Although I hate to admit it.....I got my battery from Halfords as well. :$
Looking into it, they had the best price, the best guarantee (3 yrs), and fitted it for free in the car park for me (whilst retaining my stereo codes with a small gadget). :)
Ask any (honest) battery specialist and they'll tell you that a car battery's average life is 3-4 years anyway, then the plates begin to sulphate, so that's why very few suppliers guarantee beyond that. Even if you pay a massive premium for a sealed unit with matting between the plates then the most I've seen is a five year guarantee.
Hint- it's worth reading the label on the back of Halfords batteries before you buy. The date of manufacture should be on this-choose the newest one from the back of the shelf!! (just like the cheese in the supermarket!).
I had a choice of two batteries and went for the one that was actually a rebadged Yuasa, a very good battery company.

I didnt start the car today so will give it a try tomorrow and see is she starts
If not I'll be ringing the Breakdown peeps again

Well the bloody thing wouldnt start again this morning clickerty clickerty went the start motor :(
Phoned up Mits breakdown this time had a Technician turn up
Did a test on the battery and it was pretty knackered asked me to put the lights on and the volts in the battery dropped drastically :(
He jump started her again 1st time she started
He phoned up Mits warranty peeps and it wasnt covered through the warranty as previously I was told the lying Tw@ts
So went out brought one and fitted it £42.97 :-D
I also forgot about the alarm having a voltage sensor so I scared half the street when I disconnected the negative cable :lolz:
Made me jump too :$
Had the put the alarm into a passive mode
