I'm looking for a complete original black leather gearshift for the 1998 Legnum which currently has a wood trim shifter that I don't like all that much.

Yup, I like it. And as Lee said: I don't like the look of the current shifter at all. And should anyone be interested in a wooden retro 70's steeringweel, then I'd be happy to provide it for free. Or maybe I'll set it on fire and have the fun of watching it burn to ashes. Have a look yourselves what was in the Legnum when I got it (now there's a Nardi black leather steeringwheel with an airbag back in place):

My wood trim dash panels wil be getting a nice black leather covering/re-upholstering (?) as well (I think that has not been done before, or has it?). All black, just as all the seats and the doorcards will be replaced by a black leather version within a couple of weeks as the shipment with goodies for the legnum arrives!

Does anyone know what is the red-marked 'gap' closer is called or even have a partnumber? It's gone on mine.

As far as I can tell it's not listed as a separate part in CAPS

Mark, it's a bad design anyway and collects dirt and grime. Perhaps you could make a carbon fibre or leather (maybe too thick) replacement? I can only assume it's just a thin disk that sits on the shaft and is the right shape to avoid obvious gaps when the stick is moves.

I think that's a good idea Lee. I'll try to figure out what the shape and size of an original one is or could/should be and create something myself.

Keith, are you able to help, can the item in question be seen easily on your parts?
i had one and was sold to AncientOfMu, now under another member's possession
i try to source one but 've got to see whether luck is with us or not
have u asked Gly? his pile of parts may have one, he is very resourceful

may not difficult to make one for yourself, it should be sort of 2 pieces of rectangular plastic overlapping like a cross, the key is to find a sample and duplicate

Sorry Keith, I was referring to the possibility of you being able to extract it from your parts in the picture so that Mark could see it. I remember my upset when I originally found out you had sold it to Don.
parts are from my NA galant, sold at least 4 years ago
