View Full Version : Tein coilover damping rate

I recently wound down the damping rate on the front Teins due to excessive lurching / undercarriage smacking over speed ramps (I go slow, I swear!). I'm much happier with the performance of the front suspension - the car handles better and bounces about the place much less at the front end (although I suspect I'll loose some traction on uneven road surfaces).

Anyway, my question is - should the front and rear damping rates be setup the same? Are there disadvantages to different rates front and rear?

You will change the balance of the car by having different damping settings. However, the correct setting is the one you like and can control the best with the comfort you require.

Good advise Nick, point taken.
