Does anyone have some stock 16 inch face lift alloy wheels for sale, suitable for a type S VR-4 Legnum? I just munted two of mine on a kerb, pretty badly. Any reasonable condition considered. I really need a replacement for two, but will buy all four if you have them though.

This is the type I mean:
22150

Could be a good time to upgrade to EVO wheels, they will keep the car looking stock, but much nicer than the normal 16's, and your tyres are crap anyway from the sounds of it, gives you a good reason to upgrade to proper ones :)

Hmm yeah maybe.

There wouldn't be any issues mounting those would there? Like needing fender rolling.

Looking at the tire radius calculator they say the speedo would only be out by 1.9% which is livable I guess.

With stock suspension you won't have any problems with EVO wheels, but if your car is low like mine you will need to roll the rear guards.

Those EVO 9 wheels are even better, but aren't as good value as the EVO 8 wheels because they have no tyres.

The Evo 9's look just like the old ones. I may get those I think - will see what the wife says.

yes, they do in fact look just like the stock wheels, Uc has them on his car, and it is black as well!

I've got some stock wheels sitting around here if you want a cheaper option. they aren't exactly the same shape. They are the bbs multispoke wheels off my car.

Wynn can buy them and 'store' them on Jan's car for a few years :)

I actually do believe that he has a set of factory wheels sitting in his garage :P So does dixon if i remember :P

And I think he could store them on my car and then i could store mine on Jan's car :P

Got them! My partner gave me permission after some begging on my part, LOL. At a cost though, I need to TM a fair bit of my junk now, but nevermind.

Anyway, bigger wheels are a good option me thinks. So now the question - what size tires do I get to maintain the right rolling diameter to keep my speedo accurate enough? Car will remain at stock height for now at least.

awesome :)

225/45/17 is bang on stock size and won't cause rubbing issues. Even with my lowered car I couldn't get the EVO 8 wheels at 225/45/17 to rub around the track at Pukekohe, and I was trying hard :)

Nah all good dude :) I was running 225/45/17's on my old leggie on my e8 rims and the were fine :) You will just need to be a little bit more cautious around curbs though... /Grrr

Is that Wynn? Is Wainui the Hutt by the way? Actually the seller of the wheels had 'Lower Hutt' in the auction, but he too is in Wainui.

Incidentally, I have to work at my company's Lower Hutt branch office for the next 3 months and so far 2 days in, I am not liking it.

this person had an evo though when lookin at his feedback/profile.. so i really doubt that was wynn.

some people class wainui as lower hutt. i know when i won an auction i had to pick up from lower hutt, but really it was in wainui. so yeah some people do!!!

what do you mean by roll thr rear guards brad?

search for roll rear guards, you'll find lots of results, Basically you are pushing out the lip that is on the wheel arch so that the tyre doesn't rub on it
