High octane fuel

Right I've been offered some 105ron fuel quite cheaply, and was thinking of using it when i take the car to the pod, Is there any drawbacks to this and will it do any damage? I may even be able to get some 112ron, I just dont want to go burning holes in pistons etc.

Is your car standard ?

apart from boost controller , exhaust decat etc , yes

If your not running silly boost.. And haven't fitted an FCD.. Or leaned out the fuel to silly levels.. Then i can't see any reason for running 105 octane.. V-Power will suffice /yes

You'd be better off removing your Bonnet Stay and Spraying water all over your Intercooler before you do your run :D

Years ago at Santa Pod, a lot of the guys used to get there on fumes and then tank up with 76 'Cool Blue'. This was 106RON as I recall and cost about a billion pounds per litre. At the time the mods in use were around your level or slightly above. Over the 1/4 mile it *may* have shaved off a tenth here and there, thing is though it wasn't conclusive - Quite often several tenths can be gained/lost depending on how good your launch is.

Bottom line? I agree with Wodj - It isn't gonna be harmful (Provided it's not a leaded formula, some high RON brews still are), but unless you can get it for peanuts it's not going to do a great deal.
