after destroying my auto box about a month ago at the drags (i was about 300m down on my 4th run) i stripped it down today to discover the planet gears in the second planetary gearset are stripped, and metal shards are though out the box.
by the second set, i'm refering to the 'higher' set at the rear of the box, that comes in contact with the front diff.
has anyone else destroyed the planet gears? if so, what was the cause? and can just the planetary gearset be replaced? or is it the whole 'upper
section
i'm not sure what gear i was in at the time, but i'm guessing 3rd/4th as i was doing about ~130km/h.
i'll try get some pics tomorrow, but i cant quite figure out how to remove the gearset from the park brake gears, etc...
