NOT FS anymore

Legnum now has a 1996 body and 1999 engine in it with 75k on the clock, body has 170k on the clock originally, all the electrical work as well as sun roof. Body has minor scratches but no dents at all, just need a good cut and polish. Engine has new spark plugs and all the liquids are new as well. Rego is on hold and has no Wof, will only need one tyre for WOF. I have run out of funds to finish it off unfortenoutly for me it is 99% complete the only thing left to do is tune up the engine as right now it sounds like a subaru and would not recommend to drive it although when i took it for a test drive it boosts well. Car is still at Brads and takes out his space. Sorry Brad. Car is in Auckland Karaka and best to be towed before the engine tune up. Let me know if anyone keen Ill let it go for $2500, would be a good investment for someone. Or ill get it fixed myself when ill come around it and keep it. Some pix are here

Legnum is Manual Twin Turbo. Clutch still got plenty of life in it.

Kenneth pulled out the coil pack from the drivers side front cylinder and it didn't run any differently. I've pulled the others out this morning and the car won't start if any of the others are out.

It would appear that coil pack is broken. Do you want to come out today and fiddle with it?

best to get it going then flick it,

Whats the compression like on all the cylinders?
Take sparkies out check them, re gap them...etc
Check spark to each of them.
Have you got the correct firing order?

brad i can come around tomorrow to get the coil replaced see if there will be any difference if anyone is going to be home that is, just give me a txt, as for coil pack yeah id get it replaced and see if there is any difference. There must be a fault somewhere

ok, we got it sorted.

One of the coil packs was dead, replaced it and the engine was running much better, but I could still hear a metallic noise. We found out that it was the rear exhaust metal plate thing that was rattling against the downpipe which wasn't bolted on properly. Now it runs fine, but we didn't have any petrol in it, so couldn't really go for a drive

yeah all thanx to Stan's stuppidity lol finds out that heat plate that goes around the rear manifold has been bent and was stuck in between of the manifold and exhaust that was not even bolted on creating a big gap for air leak. After i have unbent the heat shield and bolted up the exhaust properly all of the disturbing noises have gone right away and engine started to sound much more healthy. And yeah did not have enough petrol to take it for the test drive as just drove out of Brads house and ran out of petrol. Might actually have second thoughts about selling it as now it seems that hard work pays off.

I had a change of heart seems like car runs on 5 cilinders, not sure whats u with the 6th one, however car still drives. So if anyone wants to finish it off you can take it away for $2500. The body is mint its got electrical sunroof and all the other vr4 goodies including boost gauge.
