Wanted Power Steering Rack

Anyone got a power steering rack for a 1998 Legnum? All help / suggestions on where to find one appreciated.

Do you need a replacement one, or could you recondition your present one ?

I was told by my dealer that I needed a new one - about £2k I think fitted - to pass my MOT.

Ended up having mine reconditioned for less than £200 - can find the details of who did it if you want.

Dealer told me there is a little play in the rack. Not an mot fail yet! They qouted
£2000.00 plus fitting!!!! :stunned: :stunned: Reconditioning would be much healthier for my wallet. If you have the details on who can do a recon i would be grateful. :D

I had mine done by these people www.power-steering.co.uk. They said its the same as a std V6 rack. They are in London though, and need the car for a day. Its passed two MOT's since they did it.

A search on Google brought up some other names so you may find someone closer to home for you.
