Spent all day yesterday refurbing my front brembos only to find one of the pins had dropped out through a hole in a bag! :bigcry: Does anyone have any spares? I looked on Camskill and it's £60 for a set of pins and spring plates :inquisiti

Any machined stainless bar should do it, just put a split pin in each end to stop it moving. I have had to do just that on mine. (Or spend a fortune on the real thing!) As you can guess - this means I don't have any spares!!

I've just spend another weekend refurbing mine but all pins in place.
Sorry, no spares. Check MLR as most of the guys there got brembos and you got more chance to find something there.

I suppose I could get one made, don't really know any good machinists though. Some have those split pins in don't they, mine don't, a bit odd. I spoke to Ben at Eurospec, the ever helpful felow!, he might be able to get hold of one for me.

Yeah, that will definitely cope with the temperature :)

Well, if I got it right jayjay is looking for the pin that keeps the pads in place. And there is a lot of heat there, isn't it?
Your story tells about using tie wraps instead of bolt that keeps the caliper in place, am I right?
