Has anybody recently bought the Ralliart air filter replacement to go in the VR-4 standard airbox. If so, where did you get it from? Ordered one from RHDJapan and got an email saying 'We have just confirmed a backorder on your item. RALLIART Sports Air Filter Legnum Galant. A production date has not been released and could take 2 to 6 months. (undecided)'

Anybody know of a supplier that might have one in stock. I've been trawling the net for the last 2.5 hours and I can't find one.
/Grrr
Thanks all.

Don't tell me... you're using it as a vent in your outside wall!
If you have got one and want to part company with it how much would it be with shipping to the U.K. (Wales)?

Around 60 pounds. I don't have paypal though, you'll either have to pay me via bank transfer, or I'll see if I can get one of the guys in NZ with paypal to accept the money for me

whats the difference between a ralliart filter and the K&N and what are the benefit's?

bradc

The K&N needs to be oiled, the Ralliart one doesn't

And, inevitably, some of that oil is gonna get somewhere it shouldn't.

Just had an email from RHDJapan which contains:-
"Thank you for the purchase once again. The e-mail that you received is for the next batch of Ralliart filters that will be coming in. We just received a batch that was ordered for stock and we will be having your order dispatched today."
Hmmm..... guess they've got one after all!

 They're not dripping with oil..

I know they're not. Any idea how much air is pulled in through the airbox and at what pressure? Some of the oil will get through over time and as these units are 'user lubricated' I personally don't want to use one.

Arrived today and fitted today. What a bugger the standard one is to get out. It's about 3 times the thickness of the Ralliart.
Car seems a bit more responsive.... every little helps.

£59 from RHDJapan. If you're thinking of getting one then read the whole thread: this company may not have any in stock for a few months. Bradc might still have his spare in the wardrobe though!

I'm afraid that spare one is now sitting inside my airbox :)

No problem: they labelled it as a gift.

Need to bookmark this thread. I want this filter but have spent far too much this month already! Next round of purchases will be this and an LC-1!

Just got an enail from RHD to say that it's been shipped - 12 days after the original order was placed. Ain't lightning by any stretch but I knew I was ordering from Japan so next day was never going to happen. Hopefully it'll get to me safe & sound which is all I really care about TBH.

What does an LC-1 do ??

LC-1 is used to log Air Fuel Ratios. It's a Lambda sensor with a microcontrolle r on it. It's commonly reffered to as a Wideband sensor. I actually ordered one from a place here in Germany for £130 delivered in the end....shh don't tell Heidi.
With all the work on the car for the faulty speed sensor I also found out the air-filter is minging so I think I may need to order one soon. ATF will probably be first though....

It was delivered on 1st Aug (but I wasn't in /pan). I'll change it next w/e (plus my new plugs). I'll rack up some runs so I can get some meaningful before & after comparisons.

Later

p.s. Mine was also marked as a gift
