hello just brought my 97 galant vr4 imported form japan about month ago.

The problem i am have is that the tcl turns it self off automatically and then i think its the check engine sign(orange radatior looking symbol) lights up a few seconds after But when i turn the car off and wait for about 10-30 sec it which on and stays on.

Sorry i this sounds confusing but i only have a basic understanding of cars.

The answer is even more confusing. I believe it's something to do with pipes or connectors on something mounted on the bulkhead needing re-seated!

Somebody else can probably be more accurate, but failing that just try reseating everything you can see.

When the engine warning light turns on the Traction Control turns off as a precaution. Switching off and then on again, simply resets the diagnostics computer.

When the Light comes on take it directly to a Mitsubishi Dealer.

DO NOT SWITCH OFF THE MOTOR !!!!!!

when you get there.

They will plug in a MUT-II and analyse the computer.

They did mine and found a faulty Fuel solenoid (under $200 to repair).
I used Auckland Motors in Grey Lynn.

See this first thread (http://www.clubvr4.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?p=15650#post15650) and the resolution (http://www.clubvr4.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=2058&highlight=Fuel)
