Autowatch make an awesome system (I have one), depending on which model around $500.00 installed. Dynatron is ok but gets annoying with to many confirmation chirps. If you don't alarm within the first minute you can count 6 chirps before you finally walk away. (wife and sister have one, drives em nuts)

It's actually cheaper to go to a alarm shop buy one from them and get them to install it. Because I went to Repco brought an alarm with our 30% discount card (Uniden, second from the top one, only difference was a years warranty) for just over $200. Then I got the local auto electrician to install it for just under $200. Then I found out there are really good alarms at auto alarm shops for under $400 installed, I was gutted!

Anyway, I like this one, has all the bells and whistles. If you dont alarm it it does it itself. Only one bleep saying its alarmed and 2 bleeps saying its unalarmed. Plus if a heavy vehicle drives passed it gives three warning chirps!

Hey all,

I just bought a Legnum VR-4 and had an alarm installed straight away. I put in a Mongoose M-80 which is NZSA 4 star approved (good for the insurance).
I had it put in by a guy caled 'Shu' who was awesome to deal with and friendly as. He charged me NZD$450 including installation.

He can be found at:
www.maximumsecurity.co.nz or MOB: 021345799

he'll even come out to you to put it in (around an hour to install)

Cheers,
Luke

I've also got an auto watch. Much less hassle that the dynatron I had installed in my Civic, you don't have to press the buttons so many times just so you can turn it on.

I got the 5 star one, which was good for my insurance and it also has the option of a turbo timer built into the alarm (which I am planning to get, so it won't void my alarm warrantee).

Pit bull and Dynatron one of the only 5 star rated alarms and immobilisers full insurance approved when installed by a pro, mine cost $600 installed but I added another glass break sensor and battery back up to protect my audio. or look at Tracknet, about $1500 installed with immobiliser, gps tracking and all the fruits about $20 a month for monitoring. well worth it will be putting one in my car when I get back from the states next year.
