Hi bro out there.

2000 VR4 (Auto)

My current setup are:
Engine: HKS Cone Filter, Tein HA, Grounding Wire, HKS SSQV, RPM Ign Cables,
6x NGK Irn Spark PLugs.
Unichip, BLitz SBC, Blitz Turbo Timer, RSpec Speed Reader
17 inch Rim.

Running at max 1.0 bar.

Brought a new battery last year (June)
Cleaned the throttle (Last Month).
Added Fuel System & Injectors Solution.

My car will tend to stall whenever I give a hard run and
coming to a stop.

When braking at stationary with "D" (Auto Tranmission)..
the idling will suddenly go low and rough..
If I don't let go a bit of my braking..
the engine will stall.
*I will have to react fast for these... ;(

:( So...
Is it the fuel pump problem?
Or do I need to upgrade a Fuel Regulator?
Or is it certain Sensor that is causing this problem?

Please enlighten me..

Thanks
Jason

Mine used to exactly the same, turned out to be a leak in the blow off valve.

I had the same problem
it is the blow off. :undecided
If you are on the stock dump valve replace it with an aftermarket one like blitz,HKS etc. ;)

Thanks bro..

IN fact...
Will check the blow off value..

I had changed it to HKS SSQV last year..
May be the spring need to be tighten..
Thanks.

Will feedback to your once I have the check this coming weekend..
Thanks

Yo bro,

Thanks for the kind info.
In fact, I just changed to SARD BLOWOFF VALUE yesterday.
THE HKS SSQV Sucks... guess it was designed quite differently compared
to other kinds of blow off value.

Will monitor these few days and see how.

What i previously did was changing the stepper motor and cleaning
up the throttle body.
Everything is good without stalling.

But can I ask...
Is it possible to hold up boost to 1.0bar throughout the entire rpm range?

Caused some bro here said due to our small turbos..
It will drop as the rpm goes higher..
While some said theirs can hold all the way?

Mine currenly stock turbo.. but with ECU (UniChip), SSBC Controller and
HKS Boost meter.

I've had the same problem with my 2.0 litre V6 VR-4. Mine's a manual and it it stalls if I slow down after a hard run and slip into neutral.

I changed the stepping motor, idle speed sensor, cleaned the throttle body, changed the fuel filter. No difference. I took it to Extreme UK but they couldn't mend it, even though I took it on a run with computer hooked up to replicate the problem.

In the end, I gave up throwing money at the problem.

Two solutions. At points where you're likely to stop (eg traffic lights, roundabouts), make sure air con is turned off and keep the revs up.

Or adjust the idle speed to minimise the problem.

you all may want to check and see if the intake manifold is cracked somewhere...that's a common mitsu problem for the USDM and other Galants...
