Its a red back and sadly we do get them when they stow away on shipping containers from aussie...

we have three posionous spiders in nz. Katipo, the Redback and the White-tailed Spider. the first being a native spider and i think the other two imigrants from aussie ( correct me if i am wrong )

least it aint no led/neon light gear knob to rice it to the max...

if you have theme going in your car it could be an idea to use a spider gear knob. ie : Soundstream audio.. have a 100mm tarantular mounted in resin as a centre piece in the sound setup somewhere.

yep, and soundstream audio is for the same people that chrome wheels and hydraulics would appeal to

i like chrome, but they gotta look nice...
which is why you want catch me rollin in chromies!

hydraulics are meant for old skool cars (IMO), not for jappas etc... they look better on old skool rides. especially the impala's. (one day...)

back to topic:
Id rather have factory. these would be good for like "show cars"

Does anyone do a nice plainish black leather factory shaped aftermarket gear knob for non-silly money? I've yet to see one in magazines at any rate

Also like Jeremy Clarkson, brad regularly gets "Right" confused with "Wrong".

Just ask some of the filly's he brings home "Right hole...Wrong hole" (heh heh heh).

Seriously, though, it looks like tat. I have to confess I don't like spiders at all and would hate having to touch that to change gear. It would give me the heebs.

Dale - no one really seems to unfortunately. The best bet is to probably keep an eye on trademe and hope for something cheap to come up.

Didn't want to start a new thread and my search showed up nothing. So can anybody tell me what the thread size is of our shift knobs? I want to get this Impul shift knob (or atleast one like it) but I am unsure if it will fit or at least what specs I need to find one in so that it will fit.

This one here -> http://justjap.com/store/product.php?productid=17807&cat=268&page=2

I don't know what the thread size is but I can tell you it is the same as an EVO 7-9 at the absolute minimum, but I'd guess most mitsi's are the same.
