For the first time my V6 has done about 375 miles from a full tank. The mileage was a combination of motorways and city roads. I remember putting about 47 litres which equates to 35.5 mpg. I havent changed my driving habits but I have recently serviced the car, I guess that is the reason. How much are other people getting?

lool :) no am quite sure I did as I do keep the records on an excel sheet and always monitor the performance. V-power has definatley made a big difference :) but remember mine is not a VR-4!

I would never get that number even with 2 full tanks :)
Yes, V-power makes big difference.
Once I've filled with normal 97ron and it was about 20 miles per tank difference.

I usually get 340 to a tank with V-power compared to 300 miles with any other fuel.

10% - 12% is about right.

I found v-power to make no difference whatsoever in mpg. I average 33mpg, lowest tank ever 28.8, highest ever 50.8.

It probably differs from car to car and a driving style.

Yeah. My 8G GLS didn't care what you put in it, it was always about the same.

Hordak would be slightly better on 97RON.

Interestingly, the 6G GLSi I've just sold can run on 4 star and Unleaded and so putting super in that made a marked difference to economy - In the region of 30/40 miles to a tank on the Urban crawl. I imagine this is because the ECU was mapped to take advantage of the 100RON rating of 4 star.

So how can you work out your MPG ? If you haven't filled your tank bank up yet ?

I have broken my records again. I left Cardiff with a full tank yesterday, I drove down to London and then passed by Cambridge. By then I had done aboout 235 miles. I filled up in Cambridge (from Shell afcourse) my tank fully with 24 litres. This equates to roughly 43.7 mpg... although it was mostly motorways doing 70mph and a bit of London traffic... the figures are pretty good!

Just seen this thread again - I've managed to get 390 miles on a full tank of run-of-the-mill BP unleaded 95 RON. If it wasn't for finishing off on another motorway journey I reckon I could have got another 20 / 30 miles out of it.

This was for me, as Zaid originally said, a combination of motorway and city roads. I'm no a g0-slow driver, doing about 10 - 15mph over the limit on motorways and without using cruise.

This was all in a V6-24V like Zaid's car - natrually I wouldn't get that pootling around town to the supermmarket. Must say the VR4 image from miller above is an "ouch" on the miles to fuel.

So if I posted a picture showing the needle in that position and the mileometer on 120 miles, that would be double OUCH, right?! /help

Bloody town driving.... /grr
