They come up on Ebay every so often Pete, however it's well known that the sport alloys are made of chocolate and bend, buckle and go off balance very easily - Might be worth looking out for a cheap set of spare alloys and transfering your tyres - Could work out cheaper long term?

Yeah, I was aware of their "fragility" but thought I would prove it to myself tonight.....what a knob I am !

I would like to keep the car standard.....yes I have done feck all to this one....so a single/set of standards would be good. However, if none appear then my plan B is just to buy another set of new alloys/tyres when the tyres need replacing as there are so many cheap deals around nowadays

If you decide you want to go for the one on eBay then I have a mate you lives in Rickmansworth who could pick it up for you ... and then you could collect it from here.

Also, have you thought about getting a price from Mitsi and/or Camskill .... ? Probably expensive, but you never know.

I was surprised a few years ago after I took a chunk out of a Vauxhall alloy wheel, that when I went to the main dealer to see what ridiculous price they'd charge, the price was actually very reasonable! And in stock!

I got a quote from Mitsu for a single wheel at the end of last year for a claim against the Highways Department - I don't have it to hand but from memory it was about 160 squids

I took the money to a refurbisher who fixed it up for 40 + vat

Paul - Pete is sunning himself in Spain this week along with Mr Vee so I expect he will be in touch some time around/after next weekend.
