Has anyone got a guide as to how much boost equals how much HP.
e.g
0.7 bar = 260/280 hp
0.8 bar = 300 hp
0.9 bar = 320 hp
etc.
And how much boost can you increase, without any undue effect on existing components, i.e. increase boost only, and no other engine mods.
e.g.
0.8 bar - no engine mods
0.9 bar - minor engine mods, e.g fuel controls
1.0 bar or higher, major engine mods, cylinders head, more computers, etc.
I read when you increase to 18 psi you can really effect your pistons, i.e. melt them. ouch !
Therefore, I want to know what to plan for in the future. I am eventually looking at 400 hp, but I know this would require extensive mods.
