The wife has just packed in her academic job, and is retraining as a beauty therapist. Going to work for herself, so I need to sort out a website for her new business.

I've always used dreamweaver, but as it's a while since I played with websites, it's going to be a lot of relearning :(. The site will probably need frequent updates with special offers, price changes, new treatments etc - so I'm thinking along the lines of a Content Management System.... SOmething with DW integration would be good I suppose.

Site has to be very professional and slick - it's an image insdustry after all. Anyone have any recomendations? Windows servers cost a lot more than linux, so asp would have to offer significant advantages for me to use it...

And I'll be starting botox etc, so may be looking for some willing vitims *ahem* volunteers to practice on... :)

I use simpleblog, it can look very fresh and clean.

It's main advantage is that it only requires PHP 5 and write permissions. There is no setup, just unzip and copy.

mac or wintel?

if you're on Mac, then Rapidweaver (http://www.realmacsoftware.com/rapidweaver/) will do most things you'll need
