I misread your post, you quoted before I edited. :$

Can't say per full tank, never seen it full for more than 2 minutes.

READ ABOVE for idea.

I get about 300km per 40+ litres. Never run it down to the last.

I have worked out that I should get around 200-240 miles per tank, that is playing with the car - but not hard, pushing 300/350 on a very quiet motorway run. However I have got around 180 flat when really having fun (private test track thingy.....hmm)

Now that's based on a run to almost empty tank, I usually fill up on the 200 mark and expect to get 45/50 out of 60 litre tank

Have no idea what that is in Kms, assume you add half again (very unscientific) :D

Generally around 340km per 50 litres (or about 19 miles per ludicrously expensive UK gallon of Optimax :( at this time of year). Moves up to around 21mpg in the summer time.

I think my car will travel the same amount of distance as yours if we equated miles/pound as opposed to miles/gallon or kilometres/litre.

i.e. I can do 300km (180 miles) for 15 pounds :evil2:

:lipsrseal - oops, we discussed that previously. (And don't really want to offend our UK brothers - again !!!)

Not if it was in the UK it wouldn't! ;)

Brind - I think the GLS tank is 64 Litres, but I'll confirm that tomorrow. Far to cold to go outside now :-D

About 330 kms. per 50litres, a mix of highway & city driving.
Not very fuel efficient at all.

I have just above half a tank at the moment and have done 180 miles, full tank costs £38, so i reckon 360 miles should just about do it....

That's around town mind you... I went down to London and back on 1 tank of fuel 400 mile round trip so it's much better on a run....

But that's in winter mind you... So i reckon maybe 450 miles on a run and in Summer......

But that's with the 7G VR4 mind you..... So i reckon much less with with the 8G..

I'll stop now... :rolleyes5 :rolleyes5 :rolleyes5 :rolleyes5

I've got a manual VR4 galant

The other day I got 270.3kms from 23.65ltrs driving from the Bombay hill BP to Shell Turangi. Thats 11.4kms/ltr or 8.75lt/100kms. Drove most of the way just under 110 with the aircon "on" using 96 octane, making sure to hoon around the corners.

So it's quite capable of doing 500kms from a 60ltr tanks, or even 680kms in theory??

However around town it's awful i can see the gauge dropping when i'm idling at the lights. Are there any after market chips for these things?

I get 500-550km out 50-52 litres, I'm not daring enough to use any more petrol than that, I'm way too afraid of running out!

Brad, you may want to mention that that would be country KM's, I get around 350-400 from a tank, I am not light on the gas, ask any of the Kiwi club members, I have been driving to Waiuku a little bit lately, that definately inproves the figures, got 475km the other week and that was spirited driving but no stop/start.

bradc

It is 100kmh driving for about 60km's everyday, but the other 40km is either stop-start driving in traffic on the motorway, or around town. I think if I was doing 100kmh the whole way I'd probably push 600km or more out of a tank.

I've got a 1998 Pre-facelift Manual wagon done 112,000kms with 3" striaght through zorst.

I drive from Waiuku to Takapuna every work day.
That's a 200Km round trip.
In the Morning it's 100 - 105km/h the whole way.
In the Evening it's start stop for 60km's, the remaining 40km's is 100 - 105km/h

I'm refilling 50 - 55 Litres every second day.

400 - 450kms per tank - last tank cost $90 for 55l at $1.639 per litre for 98 Octane.

And when I'm playing - usage could be anywhere from 250kms per tank.

Hey Dreamer, what time do you drive up and down SH1? I'm either following or leading you the whole way from drury to newmarket every day

Brad, I leave Waiau Beach at about 5am, get to the Papakura on ramp around 5:30am.

I leave Takapuna anytime between 3:30pm and 6pm.
I keep looking out for you, but have yet to spot your noisey beast (mines alot loader now with the 3" pipe from extractors down, De-Cat pipe and straight through 4.5" cannon).

I drove my Fiance's Modeo wagon today and the petrol gauge hasn't even bodged! She gets 600 - 700 for her 60Litres.

bradc

I'm never going to see you in the morning then! I leave at about 5:30-6pm everyday, so I might just see you once every so often. If I'm in our takapuna office for the day I'll let you know, it's on Barrys Point Rd.

While she might get 700km I bet it isn't half as fun ;)

Using my car for work now so long motorway runs mainly - 240miles to a tank which is roughly 380kms.

It's the frequency at which I have to fill up which annoys me.

MidnightSun

Fuelling this car is the one depressing point about it - I prefer the head-in-sand denial approach and avoid counting the miles, usually like to fill up when needle's halfway as I swear I can see it dropping by that point. So can only say for certain that £27 gets me half a tank and maybe 120 miles? Oh god that's 20mpg - you've made me think about it now - :5shots: damn...

mines not a VR4, but on a good run, down to dartford from newport, across the dartford crossing in rush hour, up to lutonairport, and back to the services, past reading towards swindon(membury?) did that on 3/4 of a tank, so about 340 miles ish?
