However, a similar style of roof on a modern car, particularly an 8G Galant is NOT!!

thats a lovely colour why didnt we get that colour. as for the roof, if they trimmed it in properly around the window, i think it would look all right actually

Happens quite a bit in South Africa. You get really big hailstones there sometimes. Instead of the huge cost of panlebeating or replacing the roof - vinyl does the job.

yep i agree with kyle if it was done properly and not trying to look like a convertable it would work.

And I didn't think a USDM Galant could look any worse that the standard ones did!

seller say's "a ragtop on the roof to simulate a convertible.. its a different look!! " ... better watch the glass sunroof dosen't pop out when he's folding the roof down! DoH!!
i thought .. not bad, untill i saw the rear window surround

Use to see a lot of cars in the US with paint damage due to weather hot cold etc so that may have been a reason to stick vinyl on roof

to be fair i dont think this guy has a clue, so probably just did it. but i think if you trimmed it to fit around the windscreen and not over it, it would look really good
