Hi All,

Secondly, who knows how to beat GEOblocking software so I can actually stream the Equestrian, which is not being broadcast in NZ ?

I am soooo desperate to watch the dressage and show jumping...

unfortunately all the countries are forced by the EOC to enforce geoblocking measures to make sure some one from another country can't watch their coverage :(

BBC????????

Last Olympics they showed athletics athletics athletics, Paula this, Paula that, and many events where there werent even any British participants.

Meanwhile our sailors were creaming the medals, but you could not find any sailing on BBC, and very megre sailing information on their website.

Have you tried any sopcast or p2p streaming sites ?? Had a quick look & can't find any equestrian stuff, just lots of "Beijing Olympic Games 2008" - no more details as to content.

Wouldn't TVNZ be streaming equestrian, I think there's a good chance they will.

Anyway, you need to go thru a proxy server like they say. Try googling anonymous proxy. Once you find the address, and port for one based in the UK, in Mozilla go to tools > options; select network tab and click on the 'Settings' button and select the manual proxy configuration radio button and type the name and port of the anonymous proxy in the HTTP proxy field. The only problem is probably this set-up will be OK for websurfing, but could be too slow for streaming vid.

last time the Olympic coverage was very good if you had digital TV.

You just pressed the red buttom and had a choice of about 10 different things to watch at any given time.

Presume it is the same this year, not actually watched any of it yet.

yup, although i'm really a field archer i'd like to finally be able to watch a sport i'm actually interested in on TV :afro: Usually I have to try and find it on youtube.
I don't have an TV ariel at the moment so I can't watch it on TV so i've got to watch it on the internet. I think it was on this morning but i've been at work all day (teaching archery!). Had a look on iPlayer and they seem to have every sport available apart from archery :inquisiti

What is Geoblocking?
I have Polish sat and we have live Olympics coverage on Eurosport HD (and SD) in both Polish and English languages plus a few Polish only channels in both HD and SD with no problem whatsoever.

I think it means that if you try and watch online, you can be blocked because of your country. This can be determined by your address on the internet

Your "IP" address (Internet Protocol)

Edit - I should have said "Geoblocking" probably means "blocking by Geography"
