I am looking for a buyer for my 1993 7G VR4, Manual Saloon with 68,000 miles.

No, I'm not leaving CVR4, I just want the newer 8G model.. :bow:

How much is she worth??

I would say you would be lucky to get more than £2.5k but others may know different ;)

Hi Michaeli - The 7G's a tricky one. There's not many about to give an accurate estimate on price.

The cheapest 8G VR-4s from 1996 start at about 5995 with similar miles to yours... So I'd say Pete's probably right. I'd say 2K-2.5K, or 3K if you've got the couple of dings on the car sorted out. :undecided

Just don't look at e-bay. There's a '91 VR4 with no reserve at £950.

Mind you, it's not in as good a condition as yours.

And a 1991 VR-4 will be based on the 6G platform, not the 7G.

I think £2700 is about right...

The 6G is a 2.0 8valve turbo, 7G is the 2.0 V6 24valve Twin Turbo and the 8G is the 2.5 V6 Twin Turbo.

My 7G was shown running at 276BHP on a rolling road and at 307BHP with the water spray (which they did manually).

The 8G pre facelift runs at 260 standard and the newer VR4 at 280 standard, of course, few stay standard :evil2: but the engines are bullet proof :gun2: :arse:

I've been away for a week or so..... :-b

The car is due for it's tax and mot soon so since there is interest from within the forum, I thought it best to get it through the test before selling it on. :-D

I don't want to sell something to a member and then something go horribly wrong..... not that there is anything obvious but :thinking: it's not like selling to someone you don't know is it.......

I'll post results at the end of the month...

I would like to wait until Saturday as I have a job interview on Friday, if all goes well, i'll have to sell her, the minumum i'll take is £2700 though..... If you aren't willing to pay £2700, there's no point really....

The 7G is a 2ltr V6 Twin Turbo, 240bhp. Its a 6A12TT engine similar to the one in the FTO however everything is the opposite way round to the FTO.

The MOT is due in September but I don't have the room as I have been offered the job with a company car, thought about rejecting it to keep the VR4 but I slept on the sofa for suggesting it.......
