got a 98 legnum vr4 with only 35 000 kays on the clock... had some trouble with a drumming vibration coming through the car... turns out the motor and gearbox is on a funny angle to the head of the drive shaft therefore causing an imbalance. had a mechanic raise the motor and gearbox about 15mm to make the angle straighter and its made a huge improvement... but its still there at about 120 ks and above... real pain in the ass. any advice on solving this once and for all... and what kind of damage can this sort of thing do.

Maybe one of the engine mounts is a bit slack - weren't the early ones liquid filled? Perhaps one of these is leaking?

hmmm, maybe this is my problem?..

when does it happen? any particular speed?

does it make a funny noise?

Has your car been lowered???

Is the raising of the engine just to compensate for this?

used to happen at above about 70 ks.. but after the engine was moved that solved the problem.. no it only does it above about 120. doesnt really make a funny noise now, but it did make a drumming noise when it was really bad.

car hasnt been lowered, im keeping it standard height, have to be able to make it up snow covered mountain roads in winter. it wierd its not like the engine is actually too low, its just seems to be a bit off on its mounts, not by much but hell a couple of mills make all he difference eh.
