Hi guys, i dunno if what i just done is considered to be socially acceptable or not but i just joined liftshare.org and that means i might have to take a stranger to work every day. I drive 50 miles between manchester and warton near preston and back mon-thurs and it's dull and pricey so i thought i'd give it a try. Any thoughts/takers?

I lift share with a chap from work, as do most of my colleagues. We've got fairly limited parking at our office so there's less than one space for every two people.

Works out OK for me, although more often than not one of us is visiting a site so we both end up driving anyway!

I joined liftshare ages ago.

Problem is, no one else does the same commute.

got a reply from a bloke who's off on the sick, haha. I don't much care cos my LPG costs bugger all anyway i just think it makes to share - and i get more than enough blow jobs anyway.

I joined, i do quite a few one-off journeys.

No takers yet.

I cant see on the site whats acceptable cost wise, Surely it should be more than just half the fuel? Fuel is not the only running expense of a car?

Then again, even half the fuel is worth it for me if I dont go out my way too much I suppose.

But you WOULD go anyway Martin, wouldn't you. So the other running costs would be on your expense anyway.
So don't be soo greedy :D

maybe the line between greedy and fair is a little bit blurred eh? :-)

What if the OTHER person was going to drive anyway? Now who's being greedy?

And THAT is a good point :D

Or other solution would be to use your car one day and theirs on the other.

And I'm sure you'd rather drive your VR4 that being a passenger in someone's crappy corsa or pug :D

There is that, plus, I choose the music, and judging by what I see every day, I am not sure I fancy other people's driving anyway !
