F1 racing returns to Nordschleife:

Classic 3 litre F1 cars of the 1970's will return to the full Nordschleife circuit on Saturday 20th September when cars from the FIA Historic Formula One Championship have a 30 minute demonstration session...

I assume that the historic race cars will be able to go as fast as they wish but will be more restrained through the inclines of the Karussel

They may be restrained by the urge for self preservation by the owners/drivers but judging by Old Timer Grand Prix and Old Timers Festival laps at the Nordschleife, they will be pushing on somewhat...

Update and correction from Northloop:

UPDATE & Correction:

The Historic F1 Demo on the NS is scheduled for 27 September NOT 20th September as stated in Motor Sport...

The timetable states:

Samstag, 27 September, 11.00-11.30 Uhr. Nordschleife. Historiche Fomel 1, Revival Fahrt.

This may change however so keep an eye on the Nurburgring Race Data page of
the historic F1 website for updates: www.historicformulaone.com

Sorry for any earlier excitement/confusion....
