Lewis was flaffing about with tyres and lost a lot of time /rally

Granted that the tyre cock up cost him the opportunity to get a banker lap in at the start of Q2, however a bigger concern is that he was still slower than everyone once he was out there in the heavier rain. Maybe the car wasn't set up right, or he just lost confidence in the conditions - but it was painful to watch.

Let's hope his fortunes take an upturn tomorrow, especially in front of the Italians !

I think he would have taken that result last night /yes

Shame it didn't rain after his pitstop or he could have won the race, or indeed there were no safety cars to help either. Well done on a sterling effort Lewis :iloveyou:

why did he back off close to the end, he was catching massa thought he would of taken massa easily aswell.
the chicane was interesting a few times, good job by Vettel, was expecting his car to give up halfway around lol

There were several theories about why he didn't get close to passing Massa:

1: The dirty air following the 3 cars in front
2: Shot his intermediates just catching them up
3: Didn't want to risk the engine blowing as it was the second race on it

I personally think he just settled for being 1 place behind Massa and didn't want to risk anything else. He certainly seemed to hold off Webber once he had allowed him one go, so I think he still had the opportunity if he wanted to take on Massa.

i think other teams might be scouting him for next year after todays performance, same with kubica.
Its strange the way i saw things driver wise
Kubica-stay at bmw or go elsewhere, like Mclaren
Kovalinen-Mclaren dumping him, hes just not performing
Kimi-Dropped and massa to stay
Alonso-poss ferrari
Vettel-BMW? Renault? after todays performance

But kimi is there till 2010 now, he just isnt on the pace anymore, today he only pushed the last couple of laps, will be interesting next year

It was bloody good race.
Hamilton was very, very good - nice overtakings.
And Kubica? From 11 to 3rd! There is a big carrier upon him if he gets to better team. I don't think he will get to McLaren as they would probably challenge each other with Lewis. Unless Massa is dropped from Ferrari, Kubica will probably stay with BMW. But nothing has been put on paper yet...

yes i know, i put it up in my post /lol /pan /pan /pan

cant see kuibca going to ferrari, i think alonso is set for ferrari hes a brilliant driver, and a few people high up love him at ferrari. Kubica i can see at mclaren, right driver for the right car, just need to get rid of kovalinen, best car on the field and has only won once?

You may be right Pit but I would be worried if two such good drivers like Kubica and Hamilton would not race each other more than other drivers.
Probably as long as Kubica would stay behind Hamilton, it would be fine but what if Kubice proves being better (if he is)? Remember that Lewis is bloody arogant and may not stand being equal or second to someone else in the same team (again, if Kubica is as good or better than Hamilton)
It may be the same problem like Hamilton - Alonso previous season...
