Hey LauTghing Boy!! The DVLA will not see it as a 1300cc.. !! It's due to the the swept volume of the cylinders.. !! 650cc x 2 is the capacity, but 1300cc x 2 is the swept volume.. !! LOL !!!

looks like a nice example... but isn't the *thing* with rotary engines the wear to rotor tips?

I'd be asking what the oil consumption is like? Has any work been done on the rotors?

& some interior shots would be good - are the seat bolsters worn? How does all that hifi gubbins sit in the dash?

just back to my statement about your DVLA being retarded, does that mean you have to pay more tax on the car? if it is i cant see how they can do it considering that all the workshop manuals i have at work say that they are 650cc x2. if mazda say the car is 1300cc does that count for nothing?

To be pedantic, its 654 x 2 which equals 1308cc. The DVLA rated it as a 2616cc.

Luckily, on my SVA test, the tester took 1308 on the Jap reg doc, plus the sticker in the bonnet that says 654 x 2, and he registered mine as a 1400 cc.

If you listen to scaremongers, then go ahead and believe all the bullsh1t that flies around about this car, uncluding oil consumption, apex seal wear, etc.

This car is best owned by an enthusiast who is willing to live with some of the shortcomings (the piston engine has plenty, too), and who is willing to not skimp on maintenance.
