wat insurance companys 4 mod VR4

Just bought a VR4 from Auckland (Ted Tracys) in New Lyn...I love it but man the gas just goes!!!!!!!!!! Its stock except for a TV and sat Nav DVD rom(which I dont seem to hav a use for)...But affraid that if down the track I want to modd it Insurances companies wont have me??????

What are the experiences my fellow Kiwi VR4 owners have had with insurance companies????Modds I would do are only:
1.Big bore Exhaust
2. POD filter
3. Tints

Well to be honest when I got my VR4 Legnum last April (yes i've nearly owned her a year) I rang up our insurance company said what I was planning on getting and asked how much the insurance would be. The only questions they asked were 1. is it alarmed? and 2. is it going to live in a garage? They didn't ask for anything like mods etc.

When they lady did all her bits and pieces the quote came back $10.00 cheaper a month than my 1993 1.5 Nissan 4 door (shopping cart) Pulsar. I was really amazed. Told hubby first thing he could say was did you say it was a VR4 I went yip!

And yes it is true, it was $10.00 less a month, mines covered for everything, total cover for $40.00 a month! This is through Norwich, the sister company of State insurance. But we have everything else with them... The house, house contents, 2x life insurances and the car. Plus im over 25 years and i'm the main driver (female). So you gotta think of all those factors!

But give them a try!

They didn't ask me what type of alarm, but for the books its a Uniden twin demobilser!

$11 per week !!! just done quick calculation, & thats just over £205 per year !!!
In the UK, you will not get insurance for less than £600, & more like £1000 +
I'm emigrating !! :$

But im 27 so over 25!
no alarm yet either

Once the no claims bonus kicks in it will drop.

I am with AMi and I pay about $15.00 per week.

I had 'TUNES' fully insured through the AA. I won't let you know how much i was paying as it wasn't the cheapest around since i am under 25. Some amazingly cheap monthly payments listed above!

They didn't even ask about. I am a long time customer and they probably respected my choice. I did say it was a VR-4, and they didn't care. To them it is just an ordinary "Galant". Maybe because they could see on my insurance history 3 others.

Hi...i got my 97 vr4 sedan with 18's ,lowered,BOV, adjust boost through NZI i'm 25 and it $29.50 a month with roadside assist. and only a 300 excess...worth a try as AMI didn't even want to know me as it was the first time i had a car insuered in my name

I just hooked up with NZI (97 VR4 galant) stock standard and they charge me $40 a month with roadside assistance and same excess...bro! you just less than $30 a month! thats awesome for all your mods.
