He stole it!!!!!!!!!!

But really, how? It looks very good from the pic, I wouldnt have thought it was the self adhesive stuff coz usually they dont have the high gloss finish........

A mate i know who is in the signwriting buisness can work wonders with this 'wrap' material. Being a car enthusiast he has played around with the carbon fibre effect wrap for a while now. has it off to a tee now! His GTO is a credit to his skills.

So by process of carefully 'wrapping' this material can be forced, bent and pushed to a degree. There are limitations though. for eg the handle on the ash tray couldnt be done as its too deep plus the cigarette lighter entry wall as that again is too deep.

I first thought of getting the 'wrap' in the same colour as the exterior...Hamilton Silver. Maybe in the future, lets try the carbon effect like the super vr4's first and take it from there. Steve who produced this says not a problem to match the exterior colour either. Beauty of this i suppose is you can change it whenever your mood likes or just to follow the current trend!

It took about £30 worth of materials incl ink etc.

So now whats the verdict??

The stuff I used before didnt shrink under heat but became a lot more pliable so you could put into all the nooks and crannies............ looks good in the pics but carbon fiber does have a depth that I think is lost on the self adhesive stuff but the pics look very good

yep it becomes a lot more pliable under heat, ie easier to smooth out around corners etc.

Where can I get some from ??

Do you reckon it's scratch & peel resistant ?? (I still remember the Fablon atrocities from the 70's - don't want my dash to go bad).

I used the carbon vinal wrap myself on the plastic cover piece on the bumper where the tow ring is. looks amazing and cost me bout 15euro. saved me a fortune on making it out of carbon. Looks mint!!
