Not all free web space companys will let you link to your pictures to display on another site live.
It's just a trial and error.

Basically if you don't already know, right click your mouse over the picture you want to display, then scroll down to 'properties' and copy the line after the URL such as, in your case: http://www.freewebs.com/petertoop/gal.JPG
This will automatically become a link but if you want it to display here as the picture alone then you just add the tags: your link [/IMG ] without the spaces.

After all this, it probably won't work! :laugh:
