I need 4 x new brake discs. It has been suggested that I contact BNT and ask for EVO IV discs which, as they are the same, I'm happy with.

I also need some new pads and was wondering what off-the-shelf products people out there (in NZ) would recommend?

I would like to get some new brake fluid as well as I don't think it's been replaced since I've owned the car - what type should I get?

Lastly - I was hoping that I could fit all this gear after the DynoDay at Brad's place but was wondering if I could please ask for some help in looking at the front calipers themselves and maybe kind of "service" them? The reason I ask is that I suspect I still have a sticky / seized left front which needs attention. If anyone has some spare front calipers that they want to bring along in case it isn't repairable, I'd be happy to pay them fairly.

Cheers :)

I have just had dba-4000 series slotted rotors fitted on the front of mine, along with ferodo pads that have now been on there for a while. Still have the standard rotors on the back with mintex pads. Along with some fluid which I can't for the life of me remember the details of.

That lot was all from Racebrakes on New North Rd.

They stop very well, and have held up to multiple track days of abuse without fade (although I was did warp and crack the standard front rotors after the last outing, which is why I have upgraded those). They pads do squeal a little under light braking though.

try trade parts or ABC on the shore.

i can have a look at the calipers if you want. if its just a siezed slide it shouldnt be to bad to fix

Thanks Dave - is there any special kind of grease or something that I should get? Should I bring along some of those bourbon RTD's that you so dearly love  /haz

ROFL - cool man, will see you there :) I'll drop by Trade Parts tomorrow... their website is poo but as long as they sell what I'm looking for I'm not really worried.

Can't seem to find ABC on the net though?

I got penrite SIN from race brakes and it is rated very highly but rather expensive. If you don't want to spend $65 per litre, just go to repco and buy normal fluid.
