climate control unit

I'm due to remove the dash and swap it over when i get a chance. what i need to now is the lights on my control panel keep going out if i tap the dash they come on. is this just a loose connection or it the unit shagged. i don't wanna take all the dash out then find out i need a replacement.

Most likely a loose connection, sooo many wires and plugs behind the centre dash

Hi Anthony, it might just be a loose connection.. Firstly just check that the cable sockets going to the unit are in fairly, if they are then have a look at this "how to" (http://www.clubvr4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12907)to find out how to open the unit up, you may just find that the a bulb is loosen. The bulb are the twist in type so just makesure they are all twisted in tight. If not then you could just solder some LED's in! "How to " guide thankw to Gly.
